   On May 12, 2008, a massive earthquake of 8.0 magnitudes took place in Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, China. The victims, who are our fellow countrymen, have suffered tremendous miseries and anguish. To express our concern and condolence to the children in the disaster area, Jinhong organizing committee is now organizing a donation among the young players to donate school bags as well as concern for them. Committee will give out cards to the players to write their prayers on for their peers in Sichuan. After the game we shall deliver the cards and donations to the Donation Office of Beijing Civil Affair Bureau, which will send them to disaster regions for us.

   To express our gratitude for players’ support of our tournament, and to help adolescent players further their development in golf, Jinhong Golf Organizing Committee will select several participants to take part in Jinhong International Golf Tournament for Young Talents held in America according to a mixed standard which will be based upon the scores in this year’s Jinhong tournament with reference to the scores achieved in the past Jinhong games. Jinhong organizing committee will bear all the costs for the selected players to attend the competitions abroad.
